East Midlands based insurance broker and financial planner, Cowens Group, has strengthened its team of insurance experts by taking on eight new members of staff in the past six months who are all under the age of 25.
The group, which comprises of seven Account Handlers and one Apprentice Administration Assistant, have been brought on board as part of Cowens’ plans to expand its services, as the business continues to grow its client base in various new sectors across the UK.
Bringing enthusiasm, strong work ethic and ambition to the company, the new Account Handlers will make up part of Cowens’ up and coming generation of young insurance professionals, helping to future-proof its services and strengthen its reputation in the East Midlands and beyond.
The new recruits all join the commercial insurance side of the business, Cowens Survival Capability, at its Mansfield headquarters. They include Account Handlers; Amy Town, Ryan Taylor, Hannah Jiggins, Alice Swan, Freya Bryan, Josh Smyth and Kiera Tarpey, and Apprentice Administration Assistant Eve Stenson who is the business’ youngest employee.

The eight new starters have grown Cowens’ workforce by 20% since April, making 2019 one of the biggest years for expansion the business has ever seen.

Each person we’ve brought on board brings something unique and I’m looking forward to seeing how this new range of personalities and skills benefits the clients we help. It is brilliant to be able to support the careers of some of the up and coming stars of the insurance industry and I look forward to seeing them flourish and succeed in their new roles.”
