Leek United has appointed Dan Berrisford as Business Development Manager as the Society experiences a growing broker demand for their extensive mortgage products.
With over 12 years’ experience in the finance industry, including working as a mortgage adviser, he most recently spent over three years as the Society’s Product & Pricing Manager.
Dan has a detailed knowledge of Leek United’s comprehensive range of mortgages and can help brokers better understand how they can satisfy a wide range of customer scenarios.
Focusing on the Midlands, North West and North East territories, Dan will work closely with existing brokers as well as build a network of new introducers to promote the benefits of Leek United’s products and services.
The Leek recently launched new mortgage range including fixed rates with interest only, cashback and no fees options as well as buy to let discounts and mortgages with no ERCs. Their suite of products also provides mortgages for new builds, second homes Help to Buy and buy to let.
Dan commented: “I’m looking forward to helping brokers to open up new lending opportunities that our mortgages can provide. I’ll be visiting new introducers too and be an expert contact point for developing their mortgage business. By also offering a first class service I will also help to grow the Society’s profile in the market and increase the levels of completions.“

Leek United recently introduced an intermediary online affordability calculator for residential mortgages. They also won UK’s Best Variable Rate Mortgage Lender in the 21st annual Personal Finance Awards and were Highly Commended in the First-time Buyer Mortgage Provider category in the 2018 Moneynet awards.
