Sale Sharks has confirmed the dual signing of two new partners, with money solutions firm MoneyPlus Group and real estate specialists OBI linking up with the Premiership Rugby side.
The two firms have agreed a joint deal with the Sharks that will see them share a range of assets, including player appearances, match-day hospitality, ticket allocations and selected branding within AJ Bell Stadium.
MoneyPlus is an innovative financial and lifestyle business that enables people to understand more about their personal spending habits. Based in Manchester they employ 230 staff and are one of the UK’s largest and most established providers of debt advice.
Chris Davis at MoneyPlus, said: “As a business, our roots are firmly established in Greater Manchester, so we’re delighted to have agreed a partnership with Sale Sharks.
“We've achieved significant growth over the last few years and we see this partnership as a fantastic way to help drive further awareness of our brand and our offering, both regionally and nationally.”
Real Estate firm OBI, also based in Manchester, provides strategic advice and consultancy to a wide range of national and international clients. The company has a long association with MoneyPlus and supported the business with its move from Altrincham to New Bailey Street in Manchester city centre back in 2012.
“Sale Sharks is a fantastic club with a number of high-profile international players, so this partnership is a perfect fit for us,” said OBI's co-founder, Will Lewis.
“We're particularly excited to be joining up with Sale’s successful Business Club and are looking forward to enjoying the rest of the season as an official club partner.”
Speaking after signing the deal, Sale Shark’s Commercial Director Mark Cueto added: “It’s fantastic to be able to welcome MoneyPlus and OBI into the Sharks family.
“As a club, we're continuing to attract a diverse mix of commercial partners which is testament to the ambition and vision of our owners, and it’s fantastic to be able to add another two new firms of such high calibre.
“As a club we genuinely believe in the benefits of long-term partnerships and collaboration, and we work hard to ensure that all of our sponsors see the value in a close association with us. Both of these companies are right on our doorstep in Manchester with some ambitious plans for future growth, so we're excited to be part of that journey.”
