The City & Capital Group celebrates growth with recruitment and relocation

"It goes without saying that its been a brilliant year for us. With additional colleagues joining us and a new HQ, we have high hopes for the next 12 months too."
Stuart Hicks

In the wake of the launch of a brand-new division, West Yorkshire-based The City & Capital Group is celebrating an increase in demand with four new appointments and a move to a much larger office.

Company founders Stuart Hicks and Thomas Bagley credit the brand’s solid track record in the management and delivery of many senior recruitment placements as the driving force behind the financial uplift, which saw the groups turnover more than double last year, whilst improving profit margins, with this trajectory continuing into the current financial year.

To facilitate a marked upturn in service demand, the business has committed to making four new appointments – with one of the roles already filled by acquisitions consultant, Graham Strugnell. With over 30 years’ experience – and following the successful sale of his own IFA business in 2018 – published author Graham will offer insight and guidance throughout the buying and selling journey.

Elsewhere, the company is looking to add up to three new financial services consultants to its growing family. If successful, candidates will start their full-time positions in November 2019 or January 2020.

As a result, the soon-to-be 12-strong team will be doubling their office space with a move to a newer home on the edge of the city. Plans are also in place to purchase and renovate their ‘forever’ home.

The City & Capital Group MD, Stuart Hicks, reflected on a positive year: “It goes without saying that it’s been a brilliant year for us. With additional colleagues joining us and a new HQ, we have high hopes for the next 12 months too.

“The City & Capital Acquisitions division has enjoyed a fantastic start, and demand for our recruitment and headhunting expertise is growing by the day. As it stands, we need more people to help field the sheer number of enquiries – and that’s a great position to be in.”

The news follows the launch of The City & Capital Acquisitions division in June of this year, which is already disrupting the traditional stereotypes surrounding how Financial Advisory (FA) acquisition brokers work.

Since the firm’s inception in 2017, the financial services specialists have overseen the management and delivery of many major senior recruitment placements within the financial services industry, as well as the sale and acquisition of companies and client banks within the financial advisory sector.
